Today a glass cup broke while I was washing it. Initially I didn’t think it was that bad. That was until I pulled my hand out of the cup and blood started immediately spewing all over the place. I could see the flesh was pretty mangled. So I grabbed some napkins, wrapped my hand and drove to the Immediate Care.
After numbing my thumb they had to cartalize some of the vains to slow the bleeding. And after doing some inspection of the laceration they were worried that I had damaged some ligaments and muscle. I was able to move the thumb as normal, just with a little more pain than usual (of course). They again wrapped it up and sent me on my way to the ER at Enloe.
For anyone who has been to Enloe in Chico, CA its a pretty long wait to be seen by a doctor. By this time the numbness was going away and the pain was getting pretty intense. After waiting for about 30 minutes bleeding all over I was eventually seen by a nurse.
They (again) gave my thumb multiple shots to numb it and the nurse cleaned it out. The doctor “eventually” came in to check on the ligaments and muscle. He stated there was very minor damage to the muscle and it won’t take that long to heal. By the time he actually was ready to stitch it up the medicine had wared off and he again had to give me multiple shots to start suturing it.
Eight stiches later I was good to go! Well, except for being in a great deal of pain.

While my friend Eric and I were driving south down Forest Avenue I saw a car that looked identical to this making a left hand turn on Springfield Drive. I suggested we followed it but by the time the light had turned green it was pretty far away and we both had though their fleet of cars were all VW Bugs.
I guess we will have to wait to see if it was an actual Google Streetview car.
